Drawing upon plans, photographs and written accounts, as well as the sites themselves, in 2015 I painted a body of work in an effort to recreate some of the lost houses of the South Pennines.
This blog is a diary of the project; of the research and the paintings as they were developed. Thank you to all those who kindly shared ideas and information.
The collection of work was exhibited at Bankfield Museum in 2016. Details of all of the finished paintings, as well as the opportunity to purchase hand-finished prints can be found on my web site.
